Son Punished For Joyride By Holding Sign

Posted: Updated:

NORTH MIAMI, FL- A Florida mom angry after her 15-year-old son is caught taking a relative's car without permission, forced the teen to hold a poster reading "follower" along a North Miami highway as punishment.

There he stood with his sign.

His name is Alejandro.

He's 15-years -old and he's trouble.

His mom is punishing him.

His sign reads:

"Because I am a follower, I allow my cousin to influence me to take my stepdad's car without his permission to joyride. My name is Alejandro and I am 15-years-old."

It happened Wednesday in North Miami while his parents were at work.

Alejandro wasn't actually driving.. His 16 year old cousin was... But his mom says he's a follower.

No one was hurt.

But the car may have some water damage.

Mom didn't want to be interviewed... But people passing by had a message for the teen...

Even North Miami police stopped by with a warning if he continues to behave like this, he'll be wearing handcuffs instead of a sign.

Everyone hates long lines at security checkpoints and the TSA knows it. Now the TSA is sponsoring a contest to encourage anyone with new ideas about how to make the airport security lines go faster. Often for air travelers, the security checkpoint experience is the worst part of their trip. That's why the TSA turned to the crowdsourcing site Innocentive asking for ideas pledging a total of $15,000 in prize money, with at least one $5,000 award.
