INKSTER, Mich. (AP) --State police say two more arrests have been made in connection with the fatal shooting of a 2-year-old Detroit-area girl.

Friday's announcement about the arrests comes a day after 24-year-old Raymone Jackson appeared in court on a first-degree murder charge.

According to a news release, prosecutors are reviewing warrant requests on the two people who were arrested on Thursday.

Jackson was charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of the toddler girl who was shot in a possible case of retaliation.

The girl was shot in the head Tuesday while on the porch of a home in Inkster.

State police say the toddler's name is Kamiya Gross. But Mary Mazur of the medical examiner's office says the girl's mother identified her as Kamiya French.

Kamiya's father and another girl were also shot and are recovering.

Jackson was arraigned and remanded. His preliminary examination is on July 16, 2014, before Judge Sabrina Johnson.
