Dog Coughs Up Woman’s Wedding Ring 5 Years Later

Posted: Updated:
Stevens Point, WI-A Wisconsin woman lost her wedding ring, but 5 years later she found it in the most unlikely place.

Two weeks ago, Lois Matykowski says her dog named Tucker wolfed down an entire popsicle.

Before she could stop Tucker the entire popsicle, including the stick was gone.

Well, the cold treat didn't sit well in Tucker's stomach, so he ended up vomiting.

Not only did the stick come out, but so did Lois' ring.

"He's known in the family to be the food burglar,” said Matykowski. "After I turn around and look at my granddaughter, and the popsicle is gone. And there's Tucker smacking his jaws."

Matykowski joked that her friends are now saying they want dogs that throw up diamonds.

"So, I have my wedding ring back. And Tucker is the big dog on campus right now. He’s my hero,” she said. "I am just elated that he threw up on the carpeting, and I don't even care."

As a precaution, Matykowski took Tucker to get X-rays.

Luckily, there were no more buried treasures in the dog's stomach.

It appears the subway bedbug problem we've been reporting is getting worse. Commuters already have to contend with sweltering platforms, scurrying rats and packed train cars, and now there's another transit woe: fear of bedbugs.
