DETROIT (WJBK) -- Grammy-winning reggae performer Stephen Marley and his son Jo Mersa Marley are set to play in downtown Detroit Friday.

Stephen, the son of the late Bob Marley, and Mersa Marley, the grandson of Bob Marley, are to perform Friday at Campus Martius Park as part of Compuware 4th Fridays. The music series includes a lunchtime musical act, an opening act and a headliner on the fourth Friday of June, July and August.

Stephen Marley began his career as a child singing, dancing and playing percussion with his siblings in the group The Melody Makers.
