Pixiwoo: Summer Makeup Trends

Posted: Updated:

Sisters Sam and Nic Chapman are the stars of the UK’s No. 1 YouTube beauty channel, Pixiwoo, and the forces behind Real Techniques makeup brushes.

They are on the west coast this week to deliver the keynote speech at the Professional Hair and Makeup Expo (PHAMExpo) in Pasadena. PHAMExpo is open to beauty professionals, students, and anyone interested in the latest trends for hair and makeup and runs from 6/28 – 6/29.

Sam and Nic have a combined 30 years of beauty experience, both starting their careers as makeup artists soon after their 16th birthdays, working countless fashion shows, red carpets, editorials and collaborating with some of the top fashion photographers and magazines in the world.

In 2008, Sam and Nic launched the Pixiwoo YouTube channel where they offer tips, tutorials and advice to women around the world on how to achieve the best and hottest looks.

Pixiwoo has received nearly 200 Million views and 1.6 Million+ subscribers since its launch.

Artistry is only as good as the techniques and tools you use, so Sam and Nic provide their expertise in the development of each Real Techniques makeup brush to deliver high-definition results. Exclusive online tutorials with the sisters can be found on RealTechniques.com

Sam and Nic’s latest launches for Real Techniques include a new retractable brush series, perfect for on the go and stashing in your purse or pool bag, and a silicone liner brush, the ultimate tool for creating a smooth precise application of liquid or cream liner. The new retractable series features a retractable bronzer ($10), kabuki ($10) and lip brush ($6). The silicone liner brush retails for $6.

Sam and Nic live outside of London, England. Both sisters have two children.

Born and raised in Liverpool, signed by an inexperienced agent named Brian Epstein, hustled into the studio with a genius producer named George Martin...and out of that session came a hit song called "Do You Want To Know A Secret." Now here's the twist…we're not talking about The Beatles.
