Barclays Center prepares for Avicii after Boston incidents

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Avicii is a Grammy-nominated DJ specializing in electronic dance music. His concerts also have a history of incidents requiring medical treatment for intoxicated young patrons.

With so many people needing medical attention at the TD Ameritrade Garden, Boston police declared a level 2 mass casualty incident. Precautions were taken as 36 concert goers were taken to the hospital. Many were teenagers drunk, stoned or high.

Addiction specialist Dr. Harris Stratyner isn't directly connected to this case, but says symptoms displayed in Boston show a familiar narcotic cocktail.

Fresh off hosting the NBA draft, Barclays Center in Brooklyn will host Avicii's next concert. The arena says it has a beefed up security plan for electronic dance music concerts adding "Guests must be 18 years old or over and provide valid ID or they will be denied entry; extensive security screenings are conducted at all entrances including full body pat downs and drug screening dogs."

Still, some familiar with the famous DJ say anything is possible.
