BERWYN, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

The FBI is searching for a man suspected of robbing at least three suburban banks in the last week.

The most recent robbery happened Wednesday at the Cole Taylor Bank branch at 5501 W. 79th St. in Burbank, according to the FBI.

On Tuesday, the same suspect struck the Metro Bank branch at 7025 W. Roosevelt Rd. in Berwyn, according to the FBI.

The robbery spree started last Friday in Lyons, when he robbed the Metrobank branch at 8744 Ogden Ave. at 12:50 p.m., according to the FBI.

The suspect is described as an 18- to 20-year-old Hispanic man, about 6 feet with a thin build, short black hair and brown eyes, according to the FBI.

According to FBI spokeswoman Joan Hyde, the suspect implied he had a weapon during the robberies but has not shown one.
