Three people in Adairsville were arrested in connection to a runaway case.

According to Adairsville Police Chief Robert Jones, officers responded to Mapco Express along Joe Frank Harris Parkway to recover the runaway juvenile.

Officers found the child with Heather Nicole Haygoo, 19, Derick Clayton Bryant, 25, and 48-year-old Roy Hubert Collum Jr.

The child told the officer that she had been brought by the trio from Villa Rica, Georgia to Adairsville. The child told the officer that she had been forced to engage in sexual acts while at an Adairsville residence with Haygood and Bryant.

Detectives tell FOX 5 that Haygood and Bryant had agreed to assist the runaway leave Villa Rica in exchange for sexual favors. Once they returned to Adairsville, Haygood provided suspected marijuana and Trazadone to the girl, according to reports.

The child was treated by specialists and reunited with her parents.

Bryant and Haygood are charged with two counts of child molestation, two counts of sexual battery on a child, enticing a child for indecent purposes, and other drug related charges.

Collum is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
