It's the story that's never been told on television. The story of Jackie Baucom, the estranged wife of David "Slim" Baucom, the owner of a number successful strip clubs in the Charlotte region. Her husband, most recently, has been tied to the Former Mayor of Charlotte, Patrick Cannon. Cannon pled guilty to corruption charges, and admitted to taking bribes from an area club owner.

It's been a long road for Jackie Baucom. A marriage to a powerful Charlotte strip club owner, the victim of domestic abuse, life as a swinger, and the challenge of starting over.

Orrin Williams has lived at MountCrest apartments for almost fifteen years. He says the complex was a mess. Williams said, "There was nothing getting done, everything was at a standstill, everything was just sitting there."

Until a new management group came in, and bought the bank-owned property. That's when Williams said they started "Painting, getting stuff done that needed to be done years ago."

But allegations have been circulating, from some people who live there. Claiming the management office isn't fixing things when they break, and are charging ridiculous amounts for water bills. Williams says he has never seen that.

Management sat down with Fox 46, and said they are trying to turn this property around, slowly but surely. Assistant Manager Joe Gutierrez addressed a lot of the complaints. Gutierrez said "When you buy a property from the bank, all they do is maintain the property at the level they bought them, and sell off that property."

Code enforcement has been out to the property about seven times. For things like broken windows, soft floors, and spots that need to be painted.

Making New York City more energy efficient

Making New York City more energy efficient

More than half the population of New York City rides public transportation to work. No other metropolis in this country even approaches that percentage or the MTA's total number of riders. For that reason, New York likely ranks as the most energy-efficient city in the nation. But what would it take to make the city even more energy-efficient or even self-sufficient?
