Train derails near Chase Field

Posted: Updated:
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Five tankers went off the rails underneath the 7th Street bridge and Jackson, near Chase Field, on Monday morning.

A train derailed around 5 a.m., causing streets in the area to be closed for a short time.

Hazmat crews came out to make sure nothing hazardous was leaking out of the tankers and determined everything was safe.

A crane will come to put the train cars back on the tracks.
