Minnesota couple makes heartwarming teddy video

Posted: Updated:

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A Minneapolis couple has created a heartwarming stop-motion video in which a teddy bear awaits the birth of their son and then celebrates when the boy arrives.

A St. Paul Pioneer Press report says the 90-second video has been viewed about 40,000 times on YouTube. Those are modest numbers by Internet standards, but the parents say the points wasn't to create a viral sensation

Chris and Aimee Knutson say they made it for their son, and were nervous about posting it.

It shows a teddy bear celebrating after it sees the positive result of a home pregnancy test. It dances after watching the crib being assembled, and it ends with their newborn son cuddling it.

Chris Knutson says he was probably inspired subconsciously by "Toy Story."

Heavy thunderstorms swept through the tri-state on Sunday causing flash floods and lightning strikes that injured 3 people. The three men were struck at Orchard Beach in the Bronx Sunday afternoon and were being treated at a local hospital. Meanwhile, various Labor Day weekend celebrations were interrupted, delayed and even canceled as the U.S. Open tennis tournament had to be postponed and the Electric Zoo musical festival on Randall's Island had to be prematurely shut down.
