CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

You'll never see a father’s love for his daughter captured more beautifully than this.

McKenzie Carey, 12, lives in Georgia. She was born with Mitochondrial disease, a condition that leaves the cells of her body with no fuel for activity.

She cannot walk or talk, but her parents said she understands everything.

She can smile, though. That's clear in the pageants she and her father Mike perform in around the country.

Since McKenzie can’t walk, Mike is her legs.

Heavy thunderstorms swept through the tri-state on Sunday causing flash floods and lightning strikes that injured 3 people. The three men were struck at Orchard Beach in the Bronx Sunday afternoon and were being treated at a local hospital.
