Stop Cyberbullying day

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

It's "Stop Cyberbullying Day," a chance for all of us to voice our opposition to online bullying.

It’s a day when everyone who cares about cyberbullying and online hate campaigns can join the growing movement for action against online bullying.

Anyone can get involved, even if it's just by posting a tweet using the hashtag, #Stop-cyber-bullying-day.

17 year police veteran Thomas Rich spokes to parents and children about the dangers of cyberbullying.

He says bullying has become an epidemic. “The issue we deal with is kids becomes disconnected with, all these phones and technology” he said. ”It has made it easier for kids to be mean to each other. “

Bullying isn't new, of course. But technology has made it easier than ever before for bullies to attack the vulnerable.
