Embiid's Foot Fracture May Change Sixers' Draft Plans

Posted: Updated:

The NBA Draft is next Thursday night. The Sixers have the third pick in the draft, and all along there has been a consensus that the top three players in no certain order are Andrew Wiggins, Jabari Parker and Joel Embiid.

Now, an injury could change the Sixers' draft plans.

Embiid will have surgery today to repair a stress fracture in his foot. He already has dealt with back issues, so there are now concerns that he could be injury prone.

The Sixers have to decide, if Wiggins and Parker go No. 1 and 2, do they take a risk with Embiid, or pass on him and draft someone else at No. 3?

The Sixers currently have the third and 10th picks in the draft next week.
