Cubs 2014 first round pick transferred to Kane County

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

The Kane County Cougars have announced that catcher Kyle Schwarber has been brought up to the Cougars from Short-A Boise, where he played for the Hawks. This decision was made in conjunction with the Chicago Cubs.

The Cubs selected Schwarber with the fourth overall pick in the 2014 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.

Fans had a chance to see Schwarber in action with the Cougars on Thursday. The Cougars opened a seven-game homestand that includes special theme nights, autograph sessions, fireworks shows and guest appearances from some big names.
