She's the face and the name behind the all-natural skincare line Tata Harper. Tata was here from Vermont this morning to share some of her all natural skincare recipes you can make at home.

RECIPE 1: Lip Scrub

1. In a little glass bowl, thoroughly mix:

a. 1 tbsp very fine sugar

b. ½ tbsp. raw honey

c. ¼ tbsp. jojoba oil

2. Apply to the lips after cleansing your face, and gently scrub to exfoliate, soften and moisturize, then rinse.

3. Use every few days, especially after sun exposure.


• Raw honey is antibiotic, antibacterial, and super loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals – very nutritious and healing for the skin. Great for soothing irritation and moisturizing.

• Very fine sugar provides the exfoliation to remove dead skin buildup, so that the lips feel soft and look healthy

• Jojoba oil is a moisturizing oil that softens skin. It helps relieve irritation and discomfort from sunburn or dryness,

RECIPE 2: Face Mask

1. In a bowl, thoroughly mix together:

a. ¼ cup organic Greek yogurt

b. 2 tbsp raw honey

c. ½ of an avocado

d. 5 drops of Rose Essential Oil

2. Blend until it’s a thick, smooth paste, and then apply to a clean face in an even, thick layer. Let it stay on the skin for 15 – 30 minutes, then thoroughly rinse. Can be stored in the fridge.


• Overall, this mask is about giving the skin an immediate glow, and a smoother texture that looks and feels better.

• Lactic acid, a natural alpha hydroxyl acid in yogurt exfoliates the skin and breaks down surface buildup. You want to make sure the yogurt is the thick, unprocessed kind so it has lots of active cultures.

• Raw honey is nutritious, healing, softening, reduces redness from inflammation like pimples or bugbites.

• Raw honey contains gluconic acid, a mild alpha hydroxyl acid that helps brighten the complexion and even out skintone, and make the skin look glowy and fresh.

• Raw honey contains vitamin B, iron, manganese, copper, potassium and calcium, plus it’s a humectant so it helps moisturize.

• Avocado is rich in antioxidants to help detoxify, and fight signs of aging caused by free radicals.

Recipe 3: Body Exfoliator

1. In a bowl, mix together:

a. ¼ cup raw honey

b. ¼ cup jojoba oil

c. ¼ cup a mixture of fine sugar and fine sea salt

d. 5 drops of Geranium essential oil

2. Apply to the whole body just before showering, or in the shower or bath, especially to rough areas like elbows, knees and the feet.


• This scrub will leave skin completely softened and glowing.

• Raw honey and jojoba moisturize, especially in the humid environment of the bathroom – they’ll trap water and keep the skin soft all day

• The exfoliation of the sugar and salt sloughs off dead skin cells, boosts microcirculation bringing fresh nutrients and oxygen to the surface of the skin to brighten

• By removing top layer of dead skin cells, it preps the skin to absorb the benefits of the other body products in your regimen
