DETROIT (WJBK) - Investigators are back out searching again Friday for two missing children whose mother was murdered. Her husband has now been charged with murder, and a suspected accomplice has now been officially charged.

Timothy Jones, 27, has been charged as an accessory after the fact. He's accused of helping his friend Erin Justice clean up a bloody crime scene and destroy evidence after Justice allegedly shot and killed his wife, Alicia Fox, at their home on Ardmore at the end of May.

"[Jones] has been cooperative in this matter," says his attorney, Michaell Crews. "He turned himself into authorities, actually, when he was asked to come in."

Fox's body was found Monday night in the basement of an abandoned home on Penrod Street. Authorities are still searching for her two children, 6-year-old Kaylah Hunter and 8-month-old Kristian Justice. Kristian's father is Erin Justice.

The search for the children has spanned several days and so many locations. Authorities have dug up backyards and combed through dumpsters finding evidence but still no children.

Erin Justice is in Atlanta, Ga. awaiting extradition having fled there, it's alleged, after murdering his wife, renting a U-Haul and moving out of their Ardmore Street home to cover up the crime.

That is when Timothy Jones is alleged to have gotten involved.

"It's just alleged he was called to a place and found himself in a bad situation," says Crews.

'Yes, Erin and him [were] friends, and if you've been friends since you [were] a little elementary kid if somebody calls you do you push them away? Or do you go see what they want? Okay, and that's how my son got in this," says the mother of Jones. She did not want to appear on camera.

She tells Fox 2's Amy Lange her son is not a bad person and is a father himself. He's employed as a carpenter and had no idea what he was getting into.

"The vision is too much to bear, all right? And then, to be pulled into some stuff, that's a mess," says Jones' mother.

As for Justice, he's been charged with first-degree murder.

Fox 2 has learned he drove that rented U-Haul 300 miles without ever leaving Detroit, which means Detroit police, state police and federal investigators have been searching so many spots. Friday they were back out searching near Ohio and Orangelawn, near Justice's childhood home where he reportedly told police they would find the children alive.

But so far the children have yet to be located.

Detroit police are asking anyone who saw or had contact with Erin Justice or Timothy Jones between May 24th and June 9th to contact them.

Family and friends are holding a search for the children Saturday. It will begin at Joy and Burt Road near Rouge Park at 10 a.m. and go until about 2 p.m. You're asked to wear pink and black.
