Summer Travel Season

Posted: Updated:

It's time to take time off and that means many Southern Californians are planning their vacations. Some will be heading to the airport and a lot of us are planning road trips. More than ever before, air travelers face a bewildering set of schedules and travel regulations, not to mention hotel and motel prices that fluctuate from day to day and hour to hour. Elizabeth Harryman from Westways magazine will help us sort out what's important from what's not and give us some tips about getting the most fun out of our budget.

For those of us taking a road trip, the single most important thing we need to do is make sure that what we're driving will get us to our destination and back, safely and reliably. Simple things like tire pressure, water levels and working light bulbs can make a huge difference in the quality of a road trip. Jeff Spring from the Automobile Club of Southern California will have tips about keeping everything from motorcycles to recreation vehicles in tip top shape.
