What is a spornosexual?

Giants punter Steve Weatherford, 32, makes working out a priority. Taking care of his body and how he looks on the outside is important, and not just because Steve is a professional athlete. He represents a new breed of man known as the "spornosexual."

Not sure what spornosexual means? Maybe you've heard the term "metrosexual"? Think the 1990s and David Beckham: someone well-dressed, well-groomed, with expendable incomes.

Now in 2014, there is a new way to describe well the self-absorbed, image-conscience man. A spornosexual is young, athletic, and more comfortable ditching the suit and posting a selfie of his abs and spends more time at the gym then the mall.

You are more likely to find in urban areas. Sporno and metro share something in common: spending time working on the outside.

Dr. Jeff Gardere, a psychologist, says that's okay as long as the man focuses on the inside as well.

Weatherford makes not only working out a priority but also spends plenty of his time and celebrity giving back.
