Made in Michigan: Bagger Dave's Burger Tavern

Posted: Updated:
Known for their tasty build your own burgers, Michigan craft beer, and family-oriented atmosphere, Bagger Dave's has become a Michigan staple over the past six years.

Michael Ansley is the founder and CEO of Bagger Dave's who got his start when he franchised Michigan's first Buffalo Wild Wings.

Ansley gained hands-on experience and learned the right way to run a restaurant.

"A lot of times I would be there at 7 a.m. and my partner was getting there to open, so it was actually a great education.  It was like getting your Master’s degree in the restaurant business,"Ansley said.

Ansley wanted a new adventure and started his own burger concept that was different.

“"We wanted to be that local tavern every neighborhood-has one that has a really good burger and bar," Ansley said.

Thus, Bagger Dave's was born in 2008.

Bagger Dave's has locations all over Michigan and in Indiana.

Parents and teachers know school supplies don't come cheap. Many teachers even buy school supplies out-of-pocket. But now, a new Detroit company is doing more than selling school supplies - they're also giving back.
