Road Trip Anyone? Shortest Driving Route Through All 48 Contiguous US States.

The 6,913 mile drive starts in South Berwick, Maine and ends in Taft, Montana. The route figured out by Stephen Von Worley on Google Maps, passes every state if even for a moment of all remaining lower 48 states and the District of Columbia.

Average 55 mph with a few stops on the way and you’ll traverse every member of the contiguous U.S. in just under 124 hours.

Want to add Alaska and Hawaii to complete the fifty? You'll need fly out of Spokane, complete a three-legged trip to Honolulu, Anchorage and back. That will add another 36 hours for a total travel time of 160 hours, including layovers.

Ready to go?  CLICK HERE and let GOOGLE Maps plan the route with step by step driving directions. Have fun and make sure to take plenty of pictures!
