Bicyclist shoots another in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - New Haven police are investigating a pedal-by shooting.

Police a teenager on a bicycle shot another teen on a bicycle just before 7:30 p.m. on Sunday on Winthrop Avenue.

The victim was struck multiple times. Police did not immediately release his name or his condition.

Police took a suspect on a mountain bike into custody after a brief chase. There is no word on his identity, or whether charges were immediately filed.

The shooting happened in the same area where a 41-year-old man was shot in the leg on Friday.
