Writer's comments about She-Hulk spark debate

David Goyer, the screenwriter behind blockbusters "The Dark Knight" trilogy and "Man of Steel," recently ranted about She-Hulk.

In a recent podcast, Goyer, said "She-Hulk was the extension of the male power fantasy. So it's like if I'm going to be this geek who becomes the Hulk, then let's create a giant green porn star."

Rene Rosa, a manager at JHU Comic Books in Midtown Manhattan, says Goyer doesn't know what he's talking about. Rosa says Goyer got it all wrong because not only is the Hulk a cousin of the She-Hulk, Hulk already has a love interest: Betty Banner.

While most female superheroes do appear to be overly sexualized, recent comic book covers Rocket Girl and Batwoman both fully clothed, both as strong as men. But these ladies are few and far between.

Comic book fan Michelle Borrelli told us the sexualized images of female heroes are degrading to women.

Would Superman be taken as seriously if he wore a crop top? Doubtful.

It appears the subway bedbug problem we've been reporting is getting worse. Commuters already have to contend with sweltering platforms, scurrying rats and packed train cars, and now there's another transit woe: fear of bedbugs.
