Hit-and-run caught on camera

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - The hunt is on for the driver of a car that mounted a sidewalk in Queens and struck a pedestrian before fleeing the scene.

The victim suffered a broken femur, dislocated shoulder and a concussion.

The hit-and-run was captured on surveillance video at about 4 a.m. on May 17 in Astoria.

The pedestrian was walking along 30th Ave. at 45th St. when he was hurled into the air from the impact of the collision.

The 21-year-old man remains in guarded condition, said police.

Surveillance video of the shocking hit-and-run was released by the NYPD.

Investigators are asking anyone who may recognize the vehicle or knows anything about the driver, to contact Crime Stoppers at any of the following:

    There was a wild scene on the Van Wyck Expressway on Sunday. A large group of dirt bikers and ATV riders were driving recklessly near Hillside Avenue. Police say many of the bikers were going the wrong way on the road bringing traffic to a stop.
