Caught on camera: Suspects swap meth through a kiss

Posted: Updated:
BARTLESVILLE, OK - A police dash camera caught a head-scratching act: two men passed a bag of crystal meth to each other through a kiss in the back of a squad car and it's all on video.

The two men were arrested in Bartlesville.  One was holding a large amount of methamphetamine and was trying to get rid of it by swallowing it.  Then something strange happened. One man passed the drugs through a kiss to the other because he feared swallowing the whole stash would kill him.

All the while, the men never realized they were on dash cameras equipped with audio that picked up their conversation.

"It's quite odd, especially their conversation that they have about it before they do it and then for them to actually do it in the back of my car, it was very odd," said Cheyenne Lee of the Bartlesville Police Department.

That's not a normal dosage?

"No, no. Not for most people. Not for people around here anyways," replied Lee.

One of the men later admitted to eating the meth and was taken to an area hospital where doctors saved his life.

It appears the subway bedbug problem we've been reporting is getting worse. Commuters already have to contend with sweltering platforms, scurrying rats and packed train cars, and now there's another transit woe: fear of bedbugs.
