Why blueberries?

Favorite Blueberry Varieties

  • ‘Bountiful Blue’ Blueberries

  3. Self-fertile but planting another blueberry variety will result in more berries
  • ‘Peach Sorbet’ Blueberries
  1. This new compact blueberry bush

  2. Require shorter periods of winter chill time.


Planting Blueberries

  • Blueberries love acidic soil
  1. Amend soil with EB Stone Azalea, Camellia and Gardenia Planting Mix
  2. Mix one part native soil with one part of the EB Stone Azalea, Camellia and Gardenia Planting Mix
  • Plant in a sunny area, typical of edibles
  • Add a 2 inch layer of mulch around the blueberry plant
  1. This will help with water retention and reduce weeds
  • Water thoroughly after planting
  • If you live in an apartment or condo, dwarf blueberries like ‘Peach Sorbet’ can also be planted in large pots
