PCSO: At least 13 victims have come forward in San Tan Valley assault case

Posted: Updated:
A san tan valley man has been accused of sexual assault and sexual misconduct with a minor.

Pinal County Sheriff's officials say Tyler Kost, an 18-year-old Poston Butte High School student, was arrested Monday on suspicion of two counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor.

PCSO investigators believe Kost may have had sex with as many as 13 underaged girls, terrorizing them, causing one to attempt suicide.

There was no reply when FOX 10 knocked on the door of the home where Kost lives in San Tan Valley.

A short time later the garage door opened, and a white car driven by an adult pulled away.

Nobody was talking at home.

Kost attended Poston Butte High School, FOX 10 asked students what they thought of the arrest.

"Oh, I have met him a few times he seemed pretty decent he seemed innocent you know," said a student.

"It is kind of scary, but we know not all the kids at Poston are bad," said another student.

The young man out on bond, neighbors remaining calm.

"Well, it can be concerning but if he follows the rules and police keep out an eye for him we should be okay," said a neighbor.

Tyler Kost apparently had a blog that he started online last year. In it, he says he hoped to join the u.s. Army to become a military police dog handler.
