Shocking video: DCF investigates dad kicking son down half-pipe

Posted: Updated:
JACKSONVILLE (FOX 13) -

A video posted to the social networking app Instagram is drawing outrage on social media, and by all indications, a Florida man is likely to be in serious trouble.

The video apparently shows a man kicking a young boy down a half-pipe ramp – presumably because he was scared to go down in the first place.

The video was posted by the account "@lilbubs" three days ago. There was no indication how it was captured. It condemned the actions of the man in the video.

It doesn't appear the child suffered serious injuries. The Department of Child and Families is looking into the case now, after a local Jacksonville TV station confirmed it happened at Kona skate park.

The skate park apparently learned of the incident Friday night and believes it was a father and son in the video. Authorities are working to get in contact with that man.

Heavy thunderstorms swept through the tri-state on Sunday causing flash floods and lightning strikes that injured 3 people. The three men were struck at Orchard Beach in the Bronx Sunday afternoon and were being treated at a local hospital. Meanwhile, various Labor Day weekend celebrations were interrupted, delayed and even canceled as the U.S. Open tennis tournament had to be postponed and the Electric Zoo musical festival on Randall's Island had to be prematurely shut down.
