TEMPE, Ariz. - Tempe Police are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a suspect in three different bank robberies.

Two of the robberies happened on April 18.  The suspect robbed the Chase Bank located at 2528 W. Southern Avenue and robbed the Wells Fargo Bank located at 915 E. Baseline Road two hours later.

Authorities say the same suspect struck a third time on April 24, again robbing the Chase Bank on Southern Avenue.

Lt. Michael Pooley stated, "During each robbery the suspect is seen wearing different clothing and has fled the scene on foot running."

The suspect's identity is unknown at this time, but police describe him as a black male, 5' 7" to 5' 9" tall, 130 - 140 pounds, in his late teens to mid-20s with a thin build, brown hair and brown eyes.

If you have any information about these cases, call the Tempe Police Department at 480-350-8311 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.  You can remain anonymous and receive a cash award for tips leading to an arrest or indictment.

It appears the subway bedbug problem we've been reporting is getting worse. Commuters already have to contend with sweltering platforms, scurrying rats and packed train cars, and now there's another transit woe: fear of bedbugs.
