Gunman Opens Fire During Funeral At Trenton Church Gunman Opens Fire During Funeral At Trenton Church
TRENTON, N.J. - A funeral in Trenton turns into a crime scene. While friends and family are mourning the loss of a loved one, a gunman walks in and starts shooting.

It was a chaotic afternoon right as a family was grieving the loss of their loved one at the Galilee Baptist Church on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

It was just after noon when witnesses say gunfire erupted at the funeral for 19-year-old Cagney Roberts, a victim of gun violence himself.

Witnesses say it was mass chaos inside, with people running and some even being trampled on.

Witnesses tell FOX 29 News that they believe some of the gunfire may have come from inside the church. However, police are only confirming gunfire that shots were fired outside the church. Two men were shot and are now hospitalized in stable condition. One woman was grazed by a bullet.

At least one other person was hospitalized after being trampled by the crowd, and there was another who had a seizure during the incident.

Leslie Wilborn says she was among the mourners who witnessed the shooting.

"The people around me just said 'get down,' you know, 'get down,'" Wilborn said. "I heard other people saying the same thing, and then everybody started getting under the pews. And it was just chaotic. People were just screaming, hollering."

Wilborn also said she grabbed a girl and covered her for safety.

The following woman does not want to be identified, but says she was ushering at her stepbrother's funeral when the madness happened just as the pastor was about to speak, honoring 19-year-old gunshot victim Cagney Roberts.

"All the sudden you hear pop, pop, pop, pop, pop. Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop. Gunfire all over the place. I'm talking about all over you, you see smoke and people screaming."

She explained how someone helped her by pushing her to the floor.

"Next thing I know somebody pushed me down on the floor; pushed me under the bleachers, she said. "I seen a guy that had blood, he had gotten shot in the side and I had gotten blood on my gloves. And the police was trying to come in there to maintain order."

"It's scary when you know, you come to the point where they can't have respect for the house of the Lord. It's unbelievable," Deacon Mark Parrish.

Police arrested one person and recovered at least five handguns, including one from inside the church and some in a vehicle outside, Kinchen reported.

A family member tells us he believes there is no doubt this is a shooting in retaliation.

Surveillance video from a corner store shows people running up the street ducking into the store for cover.

When Denis Belliveau is teaching kids about Marco Polo, he is in his element. He makes the explorer's journey come alive by taking students on a No. 7 train ride through Queens, New York's most diverse borough. He brings history alive for his students. Along the way the students stop in neighborhoods that mirror Polo's trip. I caught up with the class in Flushing, Queens, which easily resembles China.
