Atlanta Hawks confident for game one against Indiana Pacers

ATLANTA -

The Atlanta Hawks have made it into the 2014 playoffs and will be playing the top-seeded Indiana Pacers. The first game of the best-of-seven playoff series will tip-off Saturday night in Indiana.

The match-up is a re-match of last year's first round series. In that series the Pacers defeated the Hawks in 6 games.

Lots of new faces are in the Hawks lineup this time around so the team hopes that this series plays out differently.

The team went through a light workout before leaving for Indiana Friday morning. The Hawks are very confident taking on the Pacers due to the way they played against the top ranked Indiana squad during the regular season.

The two teams split the regular season series but a recent 19 point blowout win by the hawks has them going in with a lot of confidence.

A number eight seed has upset a top seed in the first round only five times in NBA history, but the Hawks believe that they can be team number six.

The Hawks will have to win the series without star center Al Horford. Horford missed most of the season after tearing is right pectoral muscle in late December.

Horford also sat out most of the 2012 season after tearing his left pectoral muscle, but returned to play in the Hawks first round playoff series against Boston.
