Unconventional names for babies, some inspired by pop culture

Apple, North. Not the fruit. Not the direction. But baby names. Baby names can be unusual, or just normal, like Bob, Jim, and John. That's my dad's name. It's pretty common.

Some people are actually naming their kids after "Game of Thrones" characters, such as Khaleesi.

There's also a surge in names ending in the letter "N," according to new research data: Ethan, Mason, Aiden. It has to do with making a fashion statement.

I don't have kids, but maybe I would find an interesting name for my baby. Like Caligula, the Roman emperor; it kind of rolls of the tongue. Or maybe even Grapefruit, which is delicious.

Perhaps it's a good thing I don't have kids.
