Blackhawks' Patrick Kane will return for NHL playoffs

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane will be back for the NHL playoffs next week. He'll have a brace on his left knee, but said he will be rested for the postseason.

Kane injured his knee when the Hawks faced the St. Louis Blues on March 19. He said he would miss the last 12 games of the regular season after being put on injured reserve.

"Some people thought it might be beneficial to take a little time off," Kane said.

The 25-year-old resumed skating on his own five days ago, and practiced with the team on Wednesday as they prepared to take on Montreal at the United Center.
