More changes to Bashara's defense team

Posted: Updated:
WJBK - When court last met concerning Bob Bashara, Judge Vonda Evans appeared to be likely appointing David Cripps and Gabi Silver to Bashara's defense team. But Bashara's attorneys had another shake-up in court Friday.

Cripps and Silver's attorney cited a possible conflict, and they were removed from the case.

Bashara's only representation now is Lillian Diallo and Judge Evans says she is having trouble finding additional representation.

"There are not a lot of lawyers that are really taking capitol cases, and I've had some discussions with some of them and, quite frankly, they don't want to take the case," she said Friday.

Bashara is accused of murdering his wife, Jane, back in January of 2012.

Judge Evans says she will be interviewing lawyers next week, and has scheduled a court date for April 15 saying Bashara will have a new lawyer then.

If an iced coffee from Dunkin' Donuts is part of your afternoon routine, expect a nudge to buy a cookie or doughnut you didn't plan on. Dunkin' Brands CEO Nigel Travis said in a phone interview Thursday that the company is pushing to get its cashiers to "upsell" to afternoon customers. It's part of an effort to increase sales after stores have emptied out after the morning rush.
