Breakfast with Buck: Hilda's

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA, Ga. -

The slogan at Hilda's is...a breakfast to write home about.

I've got two words for you...Grits Emporium.

Carlton Brown from Hilda's says that they have the best grits, this side of the Mississippi River. A bold statement that he is happy to back up on a daily basis. Now I'll concede, I've not tried every grits option between here and there, but the grits at Hilda's are certainly memorable. Of course they do the standards like grits with cheddar cheese, sausage, and/or shrimp, but have you ever tried grits with pimiento cheese? How about grits with collard pesto or tomato gravy? They've got some great options.

It's more than just grits...make sure to try the Incredible Edible Egg Sandwich or the Sweet Gracious. And if you are a vegetarian, or not, the Veggie Scramble is a nice option.

Hilda's is inside the Irwin Street Market at 660 Irwin Street. That's in the Old Fourth Ward.

If you've got a favorite breakfast restaurant that you would love to see featured on "Breakfast with Buck," let me know on my Facebook page or on Twitter.
