Search continues for 3 suspects after party store murder

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) - Clinton Township Police continue the search for three suspects in the murder of a clerk at the Moon Lite Party Store during a robbery.

Basil Sulaka, 51, a husband, father of two and a cancer survivor, was fatally shot Friday night.

Investigators say the suspects came into the store on Harper around 11 p.m., just an hour before closing.

Hundreds of bouquets of flowers line the wall along the part store. Many members of the community also left notes, and say Sulaka was a great man and was always helping in any way he could.

One note, signed from 2-year-old Jonah, reads 'Thank you for the suckers.'
Crime Stoppers, the Detroit Pub and the Chaldean American Chamber of Commerce are offering a total of $17,000 in reward money for information leading to an arrest. Call 1-800-SPEAK-UP. You can remain anonymous.

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS


The visitation will take place Tuesday, April 1, from 4 - 8 p.m. at Southfield Funeral Home 18338 WWest12 Mile Rd., Southfield, MI.

A church service will take place at Mother of God Chaldean Catholic Church WWednesday April 2, at 12 p.m. The church is located at 25585 Berg Road in Southfield.
