Woodbury, city of 'something' TBD

Posted: Updated:
WOODBURY, Minn. (KMSP) -

The city of Woodbury is trying to lure businesses, conventions and new residents to the east metro suburb, but to this point they've lacked a clear strategy and consistent branding.

Last fall, Woodbury hired consultants from PadillaCRT and Zeitgeist to help improve the civic marketing strategy, and a report was presented to the city council earlier this month.

EARLY RECOMMENDATIONS

Welcome to Woodbury: The marketing study presented to the city council suggests adding a large monument at the city limits, welcoming people to Woodbury.

"City of ______": "We're not going to call Woodbury the center of it all because we're not," Tom Jollie of PadillaCRT said in a Woodbury Bulletin report. "We are the center of something, however."

Image: The study also recommends a consistent logo for city property and publications, presenting all the city has to offer in a consistent manner.
