New Jersey Transit train service between Newark and New York City has been restored after a brush fire near the tracks in Kearny caused a disruption. However, you can expect delays up up to an hour.
PATH service between Newark and Journal Square has also been restored.
NJ Transit rail tickets are being cross-honored on all NJ Transit buses and private carriers.
The brush fire is burning near exit 15W on the northbound New Jersey Turnpike.
The tristate area is under a wind advisory until 6 p.m.
Wind gusts could reach up to 50 mph.
