Fox 2 talked to one neighbor who says she saw a gunfight unfold from her home which backs up to the White Rhino. She says violence has been escalating for the last two years.

Friday, Taylor police shut the bar down in response to neighbors' complaints. They staked out the bar and made arrests outside, then went inside where they found building and fire code violations. The bar owners have run into trouble before. Their Harper Woods watering hole, Charlie's Woods Saloon, was shut down in 2012 after several fights and shootings there. An owner spoke with Fox 2 off-camera and says they bought the White Rhino in February with the hopes of cleaning up its image.

It's not clear whether the owners will face fines or criminal charges. Police plan to send their evidence to the state's liquor control commission. The bar could lose its liquor license.

More than half the population of New York City rides public transportation to work. No other metropolis in this country even approaches that percentage or the MTA's total number of riders. For that reason, New York likely ranks as the most energy-efficient city in the nation. But what would it take to make the city even more energy-efficient or even self-sufficient?
