Reality Show Gives Local Pastry Shop Brand New Look

Posted: Updated:
ARDMORE, Pa. -

Viking Pastries has been at 39 Cricket Ave in Ardmore for decades but just recently received a facelift to attract more business.

"Save My Bakery" premiered on the Food Channel on Wednesday night with Viking Pastries as their first client to fix.

Despite being in the neighborhood for so long and featuring mouth-watering dishes, the bakery suffered to draw in great business. The show completely rebranded the bakery, giving it an entirely new and refreshing batch of clients.

Among the tips given to the owners during the course of the show were to change the décor but to keep the cinnamon buns!

"Good Day Philadelphia's" Jenn Frederick paid a visit on Thursday morning, as you'll see in the video clip above.

The Food Network's "Save My Bakery" will feature two other local bakeries this season: Schubert's Bakery in Nazareth and Phatso's in Chester.
