Patrick Kane leaves Blackhawks game with injury

Posted: Updated:

CHICAGO (AP) - Blackhawks leading scorer Patrick Kane has left the game against St. Louis after a second-period collision with Brenden Morrow.

Kane was favoring his left leg, but went to the dressing room under his own power Wednesday night. He was injured at 7:56 of the second period and didn't return for the third.

A report during the national telecast of the game said Kane's father and agent both said the injury will keep him sidelined for about two weeks.

Morrow fell into Kane after he was checked by Chicago's Sheldon Brookbank deep in the Blues zone.

Kane has 29 goals and 39 assists in 68 games.
