Hotel guest leaves nasty letter for parents of crying baby

Posted: Updated:
A vacationer at a Colorado ski resort left a harsh letter for a couple whose baby wouldn’t stop crying.

The anonymous letter reads in part, “Babies don’t ski. No reason to bring them to a ski resort. I never brought my babies to a place like this.”

The person continued to write, “I was always considerate of others. Not selfish," complaining that the child's cries woke him or her up several times throughout the night.

The letter has gone viral after the mother's brother shared it on his blog. The couple with the baby has not yet been identified.

The brother, who runs the Dad On The Run blog wrote a response to the nasty note author.

He said, in part:  "My niece usually sleeps pretty well, and is not known for screaming in the middle of the night. If she were constantly having this issue both parents would be in a mental institution and you wouldn't have been disturbed. Newsflash: a night in the room with a screaming toddler is even harder than being next door and not something parents willingly plan for on holiday."

Tell us what you think! Do you agree with the author of the letter, or was this out of line?

If an iced coffee from Dunkin' Donuts is part of your afternoon routine, expect a nudge to buy a cookie or doughnut you didn't plan on. Dunkin' Brands CEO Nigel Travis said in a phone interview Thursday that the company is pushing to get its cashiers to "upsell" to afternoon customers. It's part of an effort to increase sales after stores have emptied out after the morning rush.
