The Willis Report: Charitable Contributions | Who's pocketing your donations?

They're on your phone and in your mailbox -- pitches for charitable donations are everywhere these days.

But are telemarketers the ones who are actually pocketing your money?

Gerri Willis, from the Willis Report on Fox Business, joined us with analysis.

Where do the donations really go?

- Over 316 BILLION spent on charities in 2012 - source
- In New York alone - 62 cents of every dollar goes to telemarketers
- Certain charities spend 50% of budget on for-profit fundraising
- LESS THAN 3% in some cases actually goes to the cause

Cancer Survivors' Fund -- Fundraising fees : 89.9%
Firefighters Charitable Fdtn. -- Fundraising fees : 87.6%
Comm. for Missing Children -- Fundraising fees : 84.9%

What to do when your charity calls and asks for money?

    One of the tubes of the Lincoln Tunnel was closed for nearly four hours after a chain-reaction accident involving a New York-bound jitney bus and two other vehicles. Port Authority of New York and New Jersey spokesman Steve Coleman says three people were reported injured in the accident in the center tube at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
