NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - One of the highlights of the 86th Academy Awards was about embracing technology and the selfie craze.

Host Ellen DeGeneres took what some might describe as the ultimate self photo.

She walked down from the stage at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday night and gathered several of Hollywood's biggest stars into one photo.

Pictured in the selfie: Ellen DeGeneres Kevin Spacey, Angelina Jolie, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Lawrence, and Jared Leto.

DeGeneres captioned the photo with "If only Bradley's arm was longer. Best photo ever. #oscars"

The photo was re-Tweeted so many times that it reportedly temporarily crashed the social media site.

    The mayors of New Jersey's three largest urban areas said Monday they are looking at inter-city collaboration as a way to stem the flow of bloodshed on their streets. Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop and Paterson Mayor Jose Torres spoke mainly in generalities about the partnership, but said specifics would be hammered out at a mayors' roundtable that will convene in September.

    Two deputy U.S. marshals, an NYPD detective, and a sexual assault suspect have been shot in a shootout in the West Village in Manhattan, officials said. The shootout happened near West 4th Street and Jones Street. Speaking at a news conference, Mayor Bill de Blasio said the marshals and cop were taken to a local hospital with apparently non-life threatening injuries.
