Philadelphia Salt Trucks Prepare For Monday's Storm

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA, P.A. -

A snow emergency has already been declared in Philadelphia, forcing the city to work overtime in preparation for the storm's arrival.

Over 400 salt trucks have been called to hit the roads of Southeastern PA and PennDOT has already issued some words of advice for morning commuters, asking that people leave earlier in the morning and be prepared for 1 - 2 inches of snow accumulation per hour.

Vehicles parked on plowing routes like Broad Street have to move their car or the city will tow it away for them.

Some Philadelphians, like Anthony Spinozzi, are ready for the weather.

"I got a pair of work boots I had to buy last week and I keep this in case I get stuck," said Spinozzi.

Salt trucks across Delaware Valley will be repeatedly spreading salt and plowing after 1.5 inches accumulate
