Police In NE Seek Knife-Wielding Robbery Suspect

PHILADELPHIA -

The Philadelphia Police Department's Northeast Detectives Division is looking to identify the suspect who robbed Beer Town Beverage in Parkwood Manor. Surveillance captures the whole incident, from entry to exit.

On February 24, 2014, at 8:50 p.m., according to police, an unknown male entered Beer Town Beverage located on the 12300 block of Academy Road. He was wearing a ski mask, surveillance shows. Once inside, the suspect pulled a knife and demanded money from an employee. After the employee gave the suspect an undetermined amount of money, the suspect fled the area on foot and was last seen east on Academy Road, police say.

Here's the Suspect Description, based on surveillance and police: White male, 5'6". During the robbery, he was wearing a blue and gray jacket, black pants, and a black ski mask.

The comedian and TV host was undergoing an outpatient procedure at a clinic on the Upper East Side on Thursday when she went into cardiac arrest and was rushed to the hospital. Her daughter, Melissa Rivers, issued a statement saying her mother was "resting comfortably."
