In 2009, Dave Danhi competed in the 7th annual Grilled Cheese Invitational, a grilled cheese competition that up to 8,000 people flock to yearly.  This was his ‘ah ha' moment and realized that he was going to open the world's first grilled cheese truck.  Their first truck opened in November of 2009 and 3 1Ž2 years later, they have 5 trucks in Southern California and 3 trucks in Phoenix and 2 in San Antonio/Austin area.

The truck has been embraced locally as well as internationally with numerous accolades including "Best Food Truck" over 10 times. Their Melts have been placed on lists that include "Top 10 Sandwiches in the Country" as well as many local "Best of" lists. The truck has had countless television appearances, locally and internationally including The Price is Right, Unwrapped (The Food Network) and Unique Eats (The Cooking Channel). Their passion for quality product and a guest first attitude keeps people flocking to the trucks and waiting for up to three hours to try their innovative Melts. . They are best known for their "Cheesy Mac and Rib", the Melt that started it all.  It consists of homemade southern mac and cheese, smoked BBQ pork and caramelized onions melted between sharp cheddar cheese and French bread.  Their innovative menu changes with the seasons to include fresh local product.  Dave keeps the menu fresh by adding new Melts that conjure up memories of their customer's childhood favorite sandwich while tempting them with "adult" ingredients.
