Six Point ready for New York City Beer Week

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - Beer is culture at Six Point Brewery in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Brewer Danny Bruckert is one of the creators. The brewery produces hundreds of different beers from the sweets to the bitters, a mix and example of flavorful craft brews that have surged in popularity over the last decade.

Six Point is one of 16 local breweries in New York preparing for the upcoming New York City Beer Week, a gathering of craft beer events all across the city.

Nationwide, beer is a $30 billion industry. Craft brews are still just a small slice. But promotions director Jeff Gorlechen says it is the section growing the fastest.

Six Point's Sweet Action ready is being made with all New York-based ingredients for an upcoming pouring.
