More Potholes Appear This Season Than Usual

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

You dodge them, you swerve around them, but those pesky potholes continue to ruin your commute.

FOX 29's Dawn Timmeney was driving around Philadelphia and she noted that she's seen more potholes this year than any other year.

According to Philadelphia Streets department, potholes usually spring up around February or March. However, the cold weather that has been pounding the Philadelphia region has potholes emerging earlier than usual.

Also, cold temperatures have made it more difficult for their crews to hit the roads as fast as many residents would like.

We know you've probably encountered some monster potholes. We want to see them! Go to myfoxphilly.com and click on UReport. Then send us your pothole pictures. Don't forget to tell us the location.

Also, if you live in Philadelphia you can report a pothole by dialing 3-1-1. In Camden County, dial (856) 566-2980.
