ORLANDO (FOX 13) -

A Bay Area airman surprised his family in a touching onstage reunion, and all it took was a little help from Indiana Jones.

Airman 1st Class Chris Burrow's family hadn't seen him in almost a year.  The 22-year-old Bayshore High grad is serving as a mechanic in Okinawa and has been in the Air Force for almost two years.

But when his mom, dad, and brother were called up to participate in the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular at Disney's Hollywood Studios during their Christmas Day visit, they were expecting to be part of the show -- not to BE the show.

Moments after walking onstage, the stunt show host asked the Bradenton family if there was anyone they'd like to send a greeting to. His mother replied, "My son Chris, in Japan at an Air Force base."

"What better than to have a Christmas miracle on Christmas morning?" the host continued, suggesting the family turn around.

Burrow, it turned out, had come onstage behind then. His surprised brother sprinted across the stage and gave him a bear hug, to the applause of the rest of the audience.

"It was an absolutely amazing feeling after not seeing them for almost a year," Burrow later told FOX 13. "I had a pretty big feeling of accomplishment that I was able to pull something off like that. Them turning around and seeing me and running to me, it was definitely an awesome feeling."

Burrow had contacted Disney World's public relations staff, and the folks there were more than happy to help.

"I've grown up at Disney, so I know pretty much all of the shows," Burrow continued. "I was trying to think of the different things that could be done throughout the resort. Indiana Jones and a few others popped into mind, then they took it and ran with it."

Burrow is coming up on his one-year anniversary in Okinawa and has another year to go in this deployment. But until he's back home, he'll at least have some great memories of the surprise he was able to orchestrate.

Photos just arrived from Disney to help him relive the reunion.

"It definitely brought back the flashbacks and made me come right back to the moment that it happened," he added. "I re-watch the video all the time as well."
